Flor de un día is a company founded in 2008 in Buenos Aires, Argentina by María Merlino and Diego Lerman. Its first theatrical production was Nada del amor me produce envidia, written by Santiago Loza. This show became a landmark in the Buenos Aires theater scene and continues to be performed to this day. In 2010, they premiered Qué me has hecho, vida mía, a solo performance written by Merlino, Lerman, and Pitrola, based on the life of the “cursed” actress Fanny Navarro. ¿Cómo vuelvo?, based on the stories of Hebe Uhart and adapted by María Merlino, was created in 2012 along with La Dama del mar, a free adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s work. In 2024, Merlino artistically produced and starred in the show Ese Bow-Window no es americano, directed by Mariana Oberztern. Her new solo project, La viva voz premiered in August at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes in Buenos Aires.
