After a chance encounter with Don Quixote, a young woman, a high school student in Chicago, decides to give away her legal identity to her best friend, Dulce. Dulce is undocumented and unable to continue on to college. This decision impacts the lives of her family and friends. Throughout the play, the protagonist attempts to explain her decision. The play Dulcci is about certainties and disagreements in individuals and within a community.
