In an old gay nightclub called La Jaula de Oro, a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ immigrants and outcasts, the community faces moments of deep anxiety as the country awaits the results of a decisive presidential election. The progressive candidate, Kandy Liberal, promises inclusive reforms, while the ultra-conservative Naranjo Supreme threatens mass deportations and concentration camps for the queer community. Libertad, the club’s owner, and her drag queen friends confront fear and uncertainty—especially those with precarious immigration status. But this community has weathered storms before, and though the fear is real… the show, as always, must go on.
