The Open Casting Call is for Chicago-based Latine actors of any union status. You will have 5 minutes to perform one piece of your choosing: a monologue, a song, a poem, a movement piece… whatever makes you shine!
You may only sign up for ONE slot. Walk-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed to be seen.
There is a free parking lot (entrance on the west side of Racine Ave. south of Monroe) and nearby CTA buses (#20 Madison). The Racine Blue Line is also within walking distance. If the parking lot is full, there is metered and some free street parking 1 block west around Skinner Park (at Throop between Monroe & Adams).
Please enter from the door on Racine Ave. CLATA staff will be there to greet you. The audition room is on the 2nd floor, up 1 flight of stairs, but also accessible by an elevator. Anyone with accessibility needs may enter from the ramp entrance adjacent to the parking lot. Please indicate in your sign up whether you need to use the ramp, and CLATA staff will coordinate to meet you at that door.
Please arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before your scheduled time.
